The Keeper

I love going to the tip!

Every week the scrap metal pile shifts and changes and it’s so interesting to me that I have been photographing it to record it’s transformations.  I like to walk around the metal pile and collect any small objects that call out to me.  Through photography, assemblage and installation, I create works that evoke my experiences at the tip.

The Keeper is a large format photograph printed as a panelled work on 64 A4 sheets which are machine sewn together. It records one of my weekly site visits.
